'Vacancies to be filled in govt hospitals'

Pharmacists' Assocation of Pondicherry has called upon the Union Territory Administration to adopt the guidelines of the Medical Code and appoint one pharmacist each for 100 out-patients in government hospitals.

PONDICHERRY: Pharmacists' Assocation of Pondicherry has called upon the Union Territory Administration to adopt the guidelines of the Medical Code and appoint one pharmacist each for 100 out-patients in government hospitals.
The government should implement the Assured Career Progression scheme to benefit pharmacists, a release from the Association said here on Sunday.
There were several vacancies in the posts of pharmacists which should be filled without delay.
The Association was planning to launch agitations in support of these demands, it added.
