Torrent Pharma appoints IBM to upgrade to SAP
IBM announced that Torrent Pharmaceuticals has appointed IBM India for consulting services, including upgrading of its SAP application and hardware infrastructure.

BANGALORE: IBM on Wednesday announced that Torrent Pharmaceuticals has appointed IBM India for consulting services, including upgrading of its SAP application and hardware infrastructure.
"This partnership will help Torrent Pharma gear up for the next level of growth", an IBM press release said.
As part of the engagement, IBM said it would also help Torrent comply with international financial reporting standards, through use of parallel Ledger functionality in New General Ledger (New GL).
IBM would enhance the Disaster Recovery (DR) processes at Torrent Pharma to ensure a near-zero data loss model,IBM said.
In addition, the engagement would help Torrent upgrade its hardware infrastructure, in order to address the higher power usage that Torrent would need for running the new vesion of SAP (ECC 6.0), the release added.
