Bharat Biotech ties up with IIL for Covaxin material

Indian Immunologicals (IIL) has signed an agreement with Bharat Biotech to supply a key ingredient needed for the manufacture of the indigenously developed Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin.

Hyderabad-based IIL, part of the NDDB, said it will send out the first batch of the drug ingredient to Bharat Biotech by July.

IIL, expects to start producing the ingredient for about 2-3 million doses a month of Covaxin from June 15.
