Sun Pharma subsi gets USFDA nod for anti-hypertension drug

MUMBAI: Drug firm Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Wednesday said that its subsidiary, has received US Drug regulator approval for anti-hypertension drug.

The subsidiary has received the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for Nicardipine Hydrochloride injections, available in the strength of 25 mg/10ml, Sun Pharmaceutical said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The injections are used for short-term treatment of hypertension when oral therapy is not feasible, the filing added.
