Strides Arcolab gets approval for Fosphenytoin injection

MUMBAI: Strides Arcolab has received its third abbreviated new drug application approval, for Fosphenytoin Injection 50mg/mL in 2 ml and 10 ml vials. The product is licensed to Akom-Strides, LLC, a joint venture formed in 2004 by Akom and Strides Arcolab. Fosphenytoin is the third approval amongst 22 sterile submissions the company has submitted with US FDA.

"Strides Arcolab is excited with our third sterile injecatable approval and are delighted having achieved a key milestone in creating a global sterile injectable business," said Arun Kumar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Strides. Recently the company received USFDA approval for manufacturing sterile products for the US. Strides Arcolab shares were up 0.92 per cent at Rs 143 on BSE.
