RSI form joint venture with Evotec
Research Support International (RSI), a subsidiary of DIL, and Frankfurt-based Evotec on Saturday announced the formation of a joint venture in India to design, synthesise and manage compound libraries.
Commenting on the agreement, RSI Director Irfan Bandukwalla said, "This joint venture will be able to address the ever growing need of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies who want to outsource their library synthesis needs to highly skilled partners who offer expertise, experience and solutions at cost effective rates."
The JV company, Evotec-RSIL will combine Evotec's expertise in library design, synthesis, analysis, purification and project management with RSI's scientists coupled with a low-cost structure in India, the companies said in a release.
The new company will be located in Thane, Maharashtra. Evotec will contribute its proprietary technologies, synthesis equipment, high throughput analytical apparatus and expert training in field, the release said.
