Ranbaxy to introduce INERSAN brand in India and Nepal

Country's largest drug maker Ranbaxy Laboratories said it has entered into an agreement with CD Pharma to market its drug INERSAN, used for the treatment of dental problems, in India and Nepal.

NEW DELHI: Country's largest drug maker Ranbaxy Laboratories on Tuesday said it has entered into an agreement with CD Pharma to market its drug INERSAN, used for the treatment of dental problems, in India and Nepal.

INERSAN, a patented drug used in the treatment of dental problems such as Periodontitis, Gingivitis and Halitosis, is a natural biological product and it would be first-of-its-kind to be introduced in India, the company said in a release.

CD Pharma is the Indian affiliate of US-based VSL Pharmaceuticals.

"Dental practitioners in India currently do not have any specialised prescription product for Periodontitis, Gingivitis and Halitosis and INERSAN tablets address this need for the segment," Ranbaxy Senior Vice President and Regional Director Asia and CIS Sanjeev I Dani said.
