Ranbaxy says it increased focus on quality since 2010

NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy Labs on Thursday said that it has increased headcount by 36% and investments by 30% on its quality functions since 2010. In a statement, the company said it has "strengthened senior management oversight of quality throughout the company by establishing a 'global quality system management review' process for senior leaders to routinely monitor quality indicators, raise and resolve quality issues quickly, and ensure that quality issues are communicated and addressed at all sites worldwide."

It added that it has introduced a comprehensive new code of conduct for all employees and implemented training programs worldwide. The program includes all aspects of compliance to business integrity, ethical standards, quality culture and established policies.

"Ranbaxy employees across the globe have received training on code of conduct. As part of this program, the company has additionally institutionalised and informed all employees on a new internal whistleblower policy focused on promoting transparency and increased accountability," the company said.
