Ranbaxy forays into protein supplement market

Ranbaxy Laboratories has forayed into the protein supplement market in India, by launching its product under the brand Revitalite, a company release said.

NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy Laboratories has forayed into the protein supplement market in India, by launching its product under the brand Revitalite, a company release said.

Ranbaxy CEO & MD Atul Sobti said: "Ranbaxy has entered the high quality protein supplements market, keeping in mind the growing demand for this category."

Ranbaxy is already a key player in the nutritional supplement market through its best selling brand Revital.

The size of domestic protein supplement market is estimated at Rs 250 crore and growing at 6% annually.

Revitalite will be priced at around Rs 500 for a 200 gm pack.
