Panacea to supply combination vaccines to Philippines company
Panacea Biotec Ltd has entered into an agreement with Family Vaccines of Philippines to provide access to value added combination vaccines under the umbrella of ‘Easy Vaccines’.
Panacea has been playing a key role in immunization through its fully liquid vaccines. It has partnered WHO and UNICEF for maximizing coverage under the expanded program on immunization.
Philippines has around 2.5 million newborns with an immunization coverage of 80 per cent. The global vaccine market is expected to top $10 billion in 2007 and $23.8 billion in 2012.
On Sep 25, Panacea commissioned its vaccine plant at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, set up at a cost of over Rs 100 crore and having capacity of 1 billion doses per annum. With this, total capacity of vaccines would double to 2 billion doses per annum.
