Panacea Biotec says newly developed vaccine works better than its peers

MUMBAI: New Delhi based Panacea Biotec, on Wednesday said it has launched an hexavalent vaccine indicated for primary immunization to protect new born babies against six common preventable diseases of Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough, Meningitis (due to H. Influenza type b), Hepatitis B and Polio.

"EasySixTM is a fully liquid ready-to-use hexavalent vaccine made using high quality antigens complying to WHO’s cGMP requirements. EasySix is found to be immunogenic, safe and well tolerated in Phase I and Phase III clinical trial conducted in various hospitals across India", Panacea said to a media statement.

EasySix in trails has showed less side effects comparoted with comparator of Pentavalent Vaccine and IPV vaccine given separately.
