Ozone Pharmaceuticals ties up with Japanese company
Ozone Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a fast -growing Indian drugmaker, has entered into pain management therapy in a big way.
It has collaborated with a Japanese firm, Koboyashi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, to bring about a series of air activated heat packs for therapeutic relief.
Ozone plans to launch medical products, including arthritis, direct skin heat and indirect skin heat packs, a company statement said here.
This is first time that heating pads for pain management would be introduced in India by any company. Last year Ozone had announced its entry into calcium dobisulate innovation for treating cataracts for which the company has already reached the second stage of patenting.
Koboyashi is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of pharmaceuticals, non-pharmaceutical products, deodorises and sanitary supplies, the statement said.
Ozone has two manufacturing units in Himachal Pradesh (Baddi) and Assam (Guwahati).
It is a formulation-based drug manufacturing and marketing company with a focus on prescription drugs in the areas of antibiotics, antifungal, nutritional, anti-infective, anxiolytics, NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and special focus on cardiac and diabetic segments.
