MUMBAI: Pharma major Nicholas Piramal India Ltd on Friday said it has signed an agreement with Spain based Pierre Fabre Laboratories for undertaking research in oncology.
NPIL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pierre Fabre Laboratories for undertaking oncology related research through mutual collaboration, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"This agreement further strengthens our strategic partnership with Pierre Fabre, wherein we market the company's products for oncology and dermato cosmetics in India.
The research collaboration in oncology is an important milestone in the strong relationship between the two companies," NPIL Chairman Ajay Piramal said.
Pursuant to the agreement Pierre Fabre Laboratories would reinforce their presence in India and open new avenues of collaboration in the field of oncology research, the company said.
The agreement was signed in presence of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
