Novartis India MD Amitabh Dube appointed as OPPI president

The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), which represents the global research-based pharmaceutical companies in India, on Thursday said it has appointed Amitabh Dube as its president for a two-year term, effective Thursday.

Dube is the Country President and Managing Director of Novartis India.

With nearly three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has held leadership roles across India and international markets, OPPI said in a statement.


"It is a privilege to lead OPPI at a time when India's healthcare landscape is undergoing rapid transformation. By harnessing the collective expertise of our member companies and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem, we can help shape an environment that promotes innovation, improves access and delivers lasting value for patients. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to India's journey towards a Viksit Bharat," Dube said.
