NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy’s Japanese parent Daiichi Sankyo has no plans to change the name of the company or delist it from the stock exchange at the moment. “We do not have such idea or any plan,” a Daiichi spokesperson answered to an ET query over mail.

However, when asked whether the Japanese drug giant would consider legal action against ex-promoters of Ranbaxy, the spokesperson said "We can’t respond to this query for legal reasons.”

Ranbaxy has a new management team in place, the company said. Daiichi, as Ranbaxy’s majority shareholder, is committed to the utmost levels of professionalism and integrity and will work with Ranbaxy’s management team to ensure that all Ranbaxy facilities operate at the highest standards, Daiichi added.
