Max Healthcare expands Africa footprint with new centre in Tanzania

New Delhi: Max Healthcare on Friday announced the launch of its patient assistance centre (PAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, marking its fourth office in Africa.

The company already operates centres in Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Lagos, and the new facility further strengthens its presence across the continent, Max Healthcare said in a release.

The Dar es Salaam centre will serve as a local engagement point for patients and families in Tanzania and the wider East African region seeking advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare in India, it said.


The centre will facilitate access to the group's network of hospitals and specialists, offer authentic treatment information, connect patients through video consultations, and assist with visa, travel, treatment cost estimates and interpreter services.

With this launch, Max Healthcare now operates 11 international offices and PACs across Asia and Africa. The healthcare provider receives over 45,000 patients from more than 180 nationalities annually.
