Jubilant recalls blood pressure drug in UK

Jubilant Organosys has recalled blood pressure drug amlodipine 5mg and 10mg in UK after its Indian contract manufacturer failed to meet the UK drug manufacturing standard.

NEW DELHI: Jubilant Organosys has recalled blood pressure drug amlodipine 5mg and 10mg in UK after its Indian contract manufacturer MJ Biopharma (MJBP) failed to meet the UK drug manufacturing standard, a Jubilant Organosys release said.

The recall pertains to the supplies made in August 2008. The company said the impact on consolidated revenues from the recall is around Rs 1 crore. From this year onwards, Jubilant has started supplying the product from its Roorkee plant.

As a result, there won't be any additional revenue impact going forward, the company said.
