The notes are rated AA+ by India Ratings, and the company could tap the debt market before the end of next month.
The rating agency expects the business profile of the firm to strengthen further over the medium term, supported by increasing contribution from recently commissioned capacities.
Jubilant made capital expenditure of 14.5 billion rupees in the last financial year and plans to use the proceeds from the planned debt issuance on capex and to refinance project-related liabilities at overseas subsidiaries.
The funds would go towards its operating entities in North America, India Ratings noted.
