India imposes anti-dumping duty on imports of Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride from China
The department of revenue issued a notification to the effect on September 2, imposing a duty ranging between $0.94 and $3.29 per kg coming from China.

"The provisional anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective for a period of six months (unless revoked, amended or superseded earlier) from the date of publication of this notification in
the Official Gazette and shall be payable in Indian currency," the department said in the notification.
The duty is aimed at creating level. Playing filed with domestic industry and foreign exporters and producers, while promoting fair trade practices.
Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride is used to treat different types of bacterial infections and certain types of diarrhea. The DGTR had initiated the investigation in January this year.
