Hind Antibiotics to make new HIV drugs

Public sector pharmaceutical company Hindustan Antibiotics will start production of cephalsporins with plans to revive production of new anti-retroviral drugs.

Public sector pharmaceutical company Hindustan Antibiotics (HAL) will start production of cephalsporins with plans to revive production of new anti-retroviral (ARV) drugs.

Additionally, Union chemicals, fertilisers and steel minister Ram Vilas Paswan has announced the immediate implementation of the justice Mohan Committee for PSU salaries, even handing out a bonus to workers on Sunday.

Cephalosporins are used for speedy control over diseases, especially in intensive care units, while ARVs are used to arrest the growth of HIV.
