The financing initiative is being rolled out under Immuneel's Saksham Patient Access Program. Eligible patients can avail of interest-free EMIs for up to 12 months, subject to credit assessment, lender approval and other applicable terms and conditions, the company said in a statement.
The company said the initiative is aimed at helping patients access treatment without having to arrange the entire cost upfront, reducing delays caused by financial constraints.
"Innovation in healthcare is meaningful only when patients can access it. While tremendous progress has been made in developing advanced cellular therapies, affordability remains a significant challenge for many families," said Amit Mookim, chief executive officer, Immuneel Therapeutics.
"Through this partnership with Arogya Finance, we are helping eligible patients access treatment without the burden of arranging the entire treatment cost upfront," he added.
Patients will first undergo a medical evaluation by Immuneel's Medical Affairs team to determine eligibility for treatment. Those found eligible will receive financial counselling through the Saksham Desk, which will facilitate the loan application process.
Loan applications will be independently evaluated, approved and serviced by Arogya Finance, the statement said.
"Access to quality healthcare should not be limited by immediate financial constraints. We are pleased to partner with Immuneel to introduce a financing solution that enables eligible patients to access one of the most advanced cancer therapies available today," said Jose Peter, cofounder and chief executive officer, Arogya Finance.
The company said the financing model is expected to improve access to advanced cancer treatment by ensuring that eligible patients can begin therapy without delays caused by funding challenges.
