Fire breaks out in Cadila Pharma unit

A major fire broke out in the Cadilla Pharmaceuticals unit at Ankleshwar city in Gujarat's Bharuch district.

AHMEDABAD: A major fire broke out on Monday in the Cadilla Pharmaceuticals unit at Ankleshwar city in Gujarat's Bharuch district.

"Fire has broken out at the Cadilla Pharamecuticals unit located at Ankleshwar GIDC locality," Nilesh Upadhyay, Resident Deputy Collector of Bharuch district told media. Details on any casualties and how the fire broke out were not yet known, he said.

"The fire brigade and senior district officials have already rushed to the spot. Though the fire was reported about 45 minutes back, it has still not been brought under control," Upadhyay added.
