Expect to see double-digit growth in next fiscal: GV Prasad, Dr Reddy Laboratories Ltd.

Speaking to ET Now on the outlook for the next year, GV Prasad, Vice Chairman & CEO, Dr Reddy Laboratories Ltd. said that he expected it to be much better than this year. "This year, the business has significantly underperformed but we expect it to bounce back beginning Q2 of next year. We should see a double digit growth next fiscal year.", he said.

He said that the company was focussed on the 5 top markets of India, Russia, US, UK and Germany and was looking at deepening its presence in them as and when an opportunity presents.

He also said that full potential of this alliance will be reached in say maybe 2016 or 2017 when it will reach several hundreds of millions of dollars but right now, it remains very small and will start seeing it becoming significant 2013 onwards.

The company is looking at a steady state of 2 to 3 opportunities every year which could be patent challengers or products which have technology barriers and this should keep their growth up in next few years, he said.
