Eli Lilly launches new drug administering device

Drug firm ELi Lilly and Company today announced the launch of new drug administering device, used in the treatment of patient suffering from Osteoporosis in India.

NEW DELHI: Drug firm ELi Lilly and Company today announced the launch of new drug administering device, used in the treatment of patient suffering from Osteoporosis in India.

"The new advance device 'Forteo Pen' for Osteoporosis patients would enable easy administration of their treatment on a day-to-day basis," the company said in a statement.

The newly designed Forteo Pen includes a larger and wider body and takes fewer steps to complete the injection process.

"Lilly is committed to improving the lives of patients through the development of effective treatment delivery mechanism," ELi Lilly India CMD Sandeep Gupta said.

This is the second device that Lilly has launched in India in a couple of weeks after the launch of its 'Humalog K wikPen' in the diabetes segment, Gupta said.
