Cipla launches i-pill helpline

The helpline will answer queries regarding usage, benefit, product availability and possible side effects by the pill.

NEW DELHI: Home grown Drug firm Cipla has launched helpline service to provide information on newly launched i-pill, single pill emergency contraception of the company.

"Since the launch of i-pill, there have been several queries in the minds of the people regarding usage, benefit, product availability and possible side effects by the pill," the company said in a statement on Monday.

The i-pill helpline service would be operational from 9.30 am to 6 pm on all days of the week and subsequently the service would be made available round the clock, the pharma company added.

i-pill is an emergency contraceptive bill from Cipla and it prevents pregnancy by stopping or delaying release of an egg (ovulation) and blocking fertilisation by affecting the egg or sperm, it added.
