Bulgarian firms are keen to invest in the pharmaceutical sector in Assam

GUWAHATI: Ambassador of Bulgaria to India, Petko Doykov on Wednesday met Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patwary. Bulgaria has shown an interest in investing in Assam.

According to state government statement, Doykov said that Bulgarian firms were keen to invest in the State, especially in the pharmaceutical sector. He expressed desire of exploring other areas of investment here.

Industries and Commerce Minister assured the Bulgarian Ambassador of full cooperation and support to facilitate their investment in Assam.

The Minister added that the current business environment in the State is investment-friendly.

Doykov, while stating that Bulgaria has the highest GDP among the EU nations generating the highest income from the services sector, expressed his keenness in fostering economic bilateral relationships between the two nations in which North-East figures prominently.
