Biozeen to set up consulting facility in Pennsylvania

Bangalore-based biopharma company Biozeen, a division of Bangalore Biotech Labs, has announced plans to set up its consulting services in Pennsylvania.


BANGALORE: Bangalore-based biopharma company Biozeen, a division of Bangalore Biotech Labs, has announced plans to set up its consulting services in Pennsylvania.

Biozeen is an integrated consulting, research and training organisation that provides services for the biopharmaceutical and biologics industries.

Our initial focus is to build a consulting practice for our US clients and then explore an organic as well as acquisition route to grow, said Cherian Philip, co-founder and chairman, Biozeen.

In the last six months of its operation, Biozeen has trained 140 students from companies like Biocon and Panacea, and would be training 160 more by the end of the current financial year.

It would be training 200 employees of Reliance Life Sciences, said Mr Philip. Dr Anil Paul Kariath, president (consulting and training), Biozeen, said, "We have tie-ups with most of the leading companies in this space either for training or consulting."

Biozeen's Bangalore facility currently has 42 employees. In the next two years, the number would taken up to 600, Dr Kariath said.
