Bharat Biotech signs pact with GCVC

Vaccine innovator Bharat Biotech International (BBIL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat Covid Vaccine Consortium (GCVC) for contract manufacturing of drug substance for indigenously developed Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin. Drug substance is the pure material that stimulates any pharmacological action. It is the most important ingredient in a drug and is also known as active pharmaceutical ingredient.
