Bayer CropScience on Monday said that the company board has approved the sale of 100 acres of its land in Thane, Maharashtra.

NEW DELHI: Bayer CropScience on Monday said that the company board has approved the sale of 100 acres of its land in Thane, Maharashtra.

The board has approved the proposal to sell the 100-acre property at Village Balkum in Thane, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, adding that it is currently being used to manufacture crop protection products. The company, however, said the proposed sale is subject to the receipt of all approvals required for the purpose. It has also decided to seek the approval of shareholders through a postal ballot.

“The company has also decided to seek approval from the members...... by postal ballot, to transfer, sell, or otherwise dispose of the company’s land situated at Balkum Village...” the filing said.
