Aurobindo Pharma granted 23 registrations by MCC South Africa

City based generic drug maker Aurobindo Pharma said Medicines Control Council (MCC) of South Africa has granted 23 registrations to manufacture and market products in there.

HYDERABAD: City based generic drug maker Aurobindo Pharma today said Medicines Control Council (MCC) of South Africa has granted 23 registrations to manufacture and market products in there.

With this Aurobindo now has a total of 91 registrations and 48 products approved by the MCC.

According to a senior official of the company, all the products are likely to be launched during this fiscal.

The market size from both tender-based and private will be around 500 million South African Rands (approximately USD$69 mn).

Aurobindo Pharma recently announced that it had entered into licensing and supply agreements with AstraZeneca, one of the worlds leading bio pharmaceutical company, to supply several solid dosage and sterile products for Emerging Markets.
