Aurobindo gets UK MHRA nod for AP manufacturing unit

Leading pharmaceutical company Aurobindo Pharma on Friday said it has received the Good Manufacturing Practice clearance certificate from the UK govt.

MUMBAI: Leading pharmaceutical company Aurobindo Pharma on Friday said it has received the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) clearance certificate from the UK government for its Unit-VIII manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.
The certificate was issued by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which is a government agency responsible for ensuring the safety of medicines and medical devices in UK.
With the clearance, the facility located at Kazipally near Hyderabad has completed one of the important formalities to provide medical supplies to the European Union, said the company in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In the afternoon trade, shares of the firm were trading at Rs 628, down 1.32 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange
