Panacea Biotec commissions vaccine plant in Baddi
Panacea Biotec has commissioned its new vaccine formulation plant in Baddi, which would double its capacity to two billion dosages per annum. The company has invested Rs 100 crore in the new plant.
NEW DELHI: Panacea Biotec has commissioned its new vaccine formulation plant in Baddi, which would double its capacity to two billion dosages per annum. The company has invested Rs 100 crore in the new plant.
The company is also planning to set up a new oncology manufacturing plant at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The plant will manufacture oncology drugs for both domestic and international markets.
Speaking about the newly commissioned plant, Panacea chairman Soshil Kumar Jain said, “The new facility has been designed, constructed and approved for the production of filling lines of bacterial and viral combination vaccines.”
The company recently forayed into the oncology segment with the launch of seven cancer drugs, which are currently manufactured for Panacea by a Mumbai-based company.
