One-day seminar on nano technology

COIMBATORE: With Nano technology applications finding place in every sphere, particularly health sector, a city institute is organising a one-day seminar on 'Bio and Nano Materials' on May seven, here.

Students and professors of over 70 colleges in the region have been invited to participate in the seminar, which would discuss select topics in Nano Science and Technology, with interaction with experts, C R Swaminathan, Chief Executive of PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, told reporters here today.

U Kamachi Mudali of Indira Gandhi centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam and G Ravichandran, Division of Engineering and Applied Science, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, would speak on 'Nanoscale investigations using electrochemical scanning probe microscopy' and Mechanics and Nano and Bio Materials at small length scales,' respectively, he said.
