Lara Bezerra to take over as Roche Products India MD

NEW DELHI: Swiss biotech giant Roche has appointed Lara Bezerra as Managing Director for Roche Products (India) Pvt. Ltd. She succeeds Maturin Tchoumi, who has now moved to Roche Finland in a new role, the company stated in a release.

Lara has over 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and was earlier the general manager of Roche Venezuela.

“With her strong business acumen and unique, people-centric leadership approach, Lara is ideally positioned to drive Roche’s efforts to bring our innovative treatments to patients in India," said Christiane Hamacher, region head of Roche Pharmaceutical Asia Pacific.

The Roche India team has already made "significant strides" in bringing innovative healthcare solutions here, said Bezerra, who looks forward to bringing the firm's transformational medicines to the country.

Bezerra has a degree in Business Administration from the Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) University, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
