IIL set to expand its protozoan Vaccine portfolio

Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuaria (INTA) is Argentina’s federal agency in charge of the generation, adaptation and diffusion of technologies.

MUMBAI: Hyderabad based Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) has signed MOU with INTA and Littoral Biologics of Argentina for transfer of technology for Bovine Parasitic vaccines in India. Introduction of these vaccines against haemoprotozoan infections transmitted by ticks is expected to prevent loss in productivity in cattle and immensely benefit dairy farmers.

"Economic losses due to Babesisosis alone in India are estimated to be about $57.2 million”, said Dr K Anand Kumar, Managing Director, Indian Immunologicals Limited, said in a statement to the press.
