NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notices to Escorts Ltd and its chairman Rajan Nanda, on a plea filed by his estranged brother Anil Nanda, seeking direction to delete the name of Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre (EHIRC) from Fortis Healtcare's proposed IPO.
Anil Nanda has also sought to restrain market regulator SEBI to proceed on the draft IPO prospectus that contains reference to EHIRC.
Justice Reva Khetrapal directed Escorts Ltd, Rajan Nanda and other respondents to file their reply by February 6.
In September last year, Fortis had acquired the four hospitals of Escorts for Rs 650 crore, but the sale was later challenged by Anil Nanda.
