New Delhi, Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday announced that it will make routine and planned healthcare services, including outpatient consultations, diagnostics and preventive health checks, available on Sundays across its hospitals.

The initiative titled 'Always Open. Always Here' will extend Sunday access to follow-up consultations and scheduled procedures, in addition to Apollo's existing 24x7 emergency, critical care and inpatient services, the hospital group said in a statement.

The services will be available subject to hospital-specific schedules and service readiness, it said.

"For working professionals, caregivers and families balancing multiple responsibilities, having the option to consult a doctor, complete a health check or continue with follow-up care, particularly on Sundays, can make a meaningful difference," Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo, said.

The initiative will use Apollo's existing clinical infrastructure, doctors, diagnostic facilities, operating theatres and coordinated care teams to provide Sunday access, the statement said.

Founder and Chairman of the group, Dr Prathap C Reddy, said the initiative is an extension of the chain's commitment to preventive healthcare and timely access to medical care.
