Boehringer Ingelheim, Viyash Scientific enter pet healthcare pact in India

New Delhi: Boehringer Ingelheim, a German biopharma giant with 26 billion euro in sales, has entered a partnership with Viyash Scientific to sell its companion animal products in India. Viyash Scientific is a renamed entity after the merger of Carlyle's portfolio companies, Sequent Scientific and Viyash Life Sciences.

"This partnership is designed to capture the growing opportunities in India’s pet healthcare market, driven by increased pet ownership, rising awareness of preventive care and growing emphasis on animal well-being across the country," the two companies said.

Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the largest privately owned global pharmaceutical companies.


“This partnership aligns with our long-term growth strategy for the animal health business in India and enables us to serve our customers with greater clarity, consistency, and care,” said Vinod Gopal, country head, animal health, Boehringer Ingelheim India.

The partnership has been struck between Boehringer Ingelheim India and Alivira Animal Health, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Viyash Scientific.
