Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurates rollout of Lord’s Mark AI patient monitoring platform in Guwahati

In a landmark move for India’s public healthcare infrastructure, Lord’s Mark Industries Ltd has announced the installation of what it calls the world’s first AI-based, contactless remote patient monitoring system at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The advanced system has been deployed in a step-down ICU ward as part of the newly-inaugurated medical college complex.

The facility was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, marking a defining moment in the state’s healthcare journey, and positioning Assam at the forefront of AI-enabled clinical care in India.

The initiative signals a proactive push by the Chief Minister to upgrade Assam’s public healthcare infrastructure to world-class standards.
