UMPPs too risky to make investments: CLP India
UMPPs are too risky to make investments because of their size, CLP India managing director Rajiv Mishra said here on Thursday.
The company will not bid for the upcoming tenders for UMPPs, Mishra said.
In the past, CLP India had bid for only one UMPP, that too as a joint venture with another company, said Mishra, who is leading the CII delegation on India-Japan strategic energy dialogue.
The government plans to bid four UMPPs—in Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Bihar—in plug-and-play mode over the next three-six months.
