UP Power Generation to deploy NTPC engineers

In a bid to increase production at its power plants having a plant load factor of below 60 per cent, the Uttar Pradesh Power Generation Corporation has decided to deploy engineers from the National Thermal Power Corporation.

LUCKNOW: In a bid to increase production at its power plants having a plant load factor of below 60 per cent, the Uttar Pradesh Power Generation Corporation has decided to deploy engineers from the National Thermal Power Corporation.

The decision was taken at a meeting of senior officials of the two corporations here on Wednesday, power department sources said.

NTPC engineers were being deployed at the power plants having a PLF of less than 60 per cent under the partnership in excellence scheme of the centre, they said.

Sources said all the power plants of NTPC were having a PLF of more than 90 per cent.

Sources said power production at the Paricha and Harduaganj had increased after the implementaion of the scheme at the two power plants since May this year.

The generation at Obra Power Plant had also increased after December last year and it was expected to go up further after effective implementation of the scheme, they said.
