UP govt signs MoU with NTPC to set up 1320 mw plant

Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd and NTPC Ltd will form a joint venture company for setting up a 1320 mw (2x660) coal-based power station at Meza in Allahabad.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL) and NTPC Ltd will form a joint venture company for setting up a 1320 mw (2x660) coal-based power station at Meza in Allahabad.

An MoU to this effect was signed here today in the presence of Chief Minister Mayawati and UPRVUNL Chairman G B Patnayak, Principal Secretary in the state Energy Ministry V N Garg, and NTPC Chairman and Managing Director T Sankaralingam.
