UJVNL asked to invite bids for Bowala Nand project by July
Vijay Bahuguna directed UJVNL Chairman Subhash Kumar to invite bids for the 300 MW Bowala Nand Prayag project by July.
Bahuguna gave the orders after Kumar told him during a meeting at his residence that the central government is likely to approve the proposed Bowala Nand Prayag project in Chamoli district by May, a statement said.
Kumar also told Bahuguna that work is on to complete formalities for 37 small hydro power projects of 500 MW for which the Chief Minister gave orders to receive bids by December.
Bahuguna said for industrial investment and economic growth, power is an essential resource and therefore all the electricity projects should be completed in a time-bound manner.
UJVNL is a wholly owned corporation of the Government of Uttarakhand set up for managing hydro power generation at existing power stations and development, promotions of new hydro projects.
