Three new solar power projects to be set up in Gurgaon
The Haryana government has decided has decided to set up three solar power projects of 225 kilowatt capacity in Gurgaon district.
Renewable Energy and Power Minister Mahender Partap Singh said in Chandigarh on Thursday that these projects would be set up at a cost of over Rs 5.9 crore.
Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has given a go ahead for setting up these projects, he said.
Out of these, two solar power projects of 100 KW each would be set up at Manesar and the third project of 25 KW capacity would be set up in Gurgaon city at a cost of Rs 88.50 lakh, he said.
"The objective of the scheme is to encourage the commercial and industrial establishments, such as malls, hotels, hospitals, housing complexes, among others to replace their diesel generating sets installed for their captive requirement during load shedding with solar photovoltaic power plants," he said.
