Tata Power to invest Rs 1,572 crore in Bhutan's Dorjilung project

The run-of-the-river hydropower project, comprising six units of 187.5 MW each, is being developed on the Kurichhu river in Mongar, Bhutan.
At a total project cost of ₹13,100 crore, Dorjilung will be Bhutan's hydropower project, and the country's largest public-private partnership hydro project. The World Bank-supported project is slated for commissioning in September 2031, and 80% of the power generated will be supplied to India.
