Tata Power signs pact with EESL for energy efficiency
Tata Power and EESL have signed an Memorandum of Understanding to carry out collaborative activities and partnerships in the field of Energy Efficiency.
The MoU commences from August 26, 2013 and will remain in force till August 25, 2016, a Tata Power statement said. The MOU provides overarching framework and strategy for collaborative activities and partnership for energy efficiency and conservation.
EESL is mandated by GOI to be the lead implementing arm of the government to create and sustain markets for energy efficiency. EESL will power companies help in financing and developing large energy efficiency projects.
Anil Sardana, managing director, Tata Power said, "The concept of energy efficiency and demand side management are integral to Tata Power's commitment on sustainability."
