Tata Power commissions 2nd unit of Dagachhu project in Bhutan
Post announcement, Tata Power shares were trading 0.86 per cent down at Rs 80.25 apiece during afternoon session on the BSE.
"The project has achieved full commissioning and clean power generated by this plant will be sold to India, thereby helping reduce carbon emission," Tata Power said in a filing to the BSE.
The Dagachhu project is a joint-venture initiative between Tata Power and Druk Green Power Corporation, which is owned by Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB) and National Pension & Provident Fund of Bhutan.
It is a run of river hydro project located in Dagana Dzongkhag, Bhutan.
Dagachhu Hydro Power Corporation Limited (DHPC) has entered into a 25 year power purchase agreement with Tata Power Trading company Ltd (TPTCL) for selling power generated from the project.
