Suzlon to set up mfg units in India

Leading wind power company, Suzlon Energy Ltd said on Tuesday that it will invest Rs 1,500 crore to set up manufacturing facilities in India, in order to increase export market share and demand.

Mumbai: Leading wind power company, Suzlon Energy Ltd said on Tuesday that it will invest Rs 1,500 crore to set up manufacturing facilities in India, in order to increase export market share and demand.

The board of directors at its meeting today approved the establishment of integrated manufacturing facilities in the country, Suzlon informed the Bombay stock Exchange.

The facilities are planned at strategic locations close to ports for manufacturing of wind turbines with aggregate capacity of 1,500 MW, it added.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 926.90, up 0.08 per cent at the BSE.
