Suzlon Energy may get $3 billion UK order: Sources
Suzlon Energy, India’s largest wind turbine supplier, may soon bag orders worth $3 billion from the UK. The company is likely to enter into a pact with UK's Caparo Group, ET NOW reported citing sources.
Suzlon will execute 3000 MW wind-power projects for Caparo and will be paid over $1million per MW constructed for Caparo. The projects are to be executed over a period of 6 years.
The deal is likely be inked this month.
Suzlon Energy management has declined to comment.
The stock shot up over 5 per cent after the ET Now broke the story. At 1 pm, the stock was at Rs 69.45, up Rs 1.70 or 2.51 per cent on the NSE. Around 2.75 crore shares changed hands on the counter.
