This is Suzlon’s first order for its new towers, which are specially designed with a 120m hub height. The S97- 120m tower design is a combination of lattice and tubular structure, making it the tallest wind tower in India. The towers are designed to harness the optimal available wind resources and deliver higher energy productivity, which in turn ensures higher returns on investment to customers, Suzlon said.
“We continue to have a strong focus on the Indian market as it offers a favourable renewable energy environment, especially with the new government in place,” Suzlon Energy chairman Tulsi Tanti said. “We continue to create innovative and reliable products as with the S97-120m, which is specifically made for low wind sites.”
ReNew Wind Power chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha said the deal reinforces commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions for India.
